Title: Bought a new Crosman 1377! Let the mods begin? Someone take my money?
Post by: cpu77 on December 30, 2011, 10:26:08 PM
After 20yrs of non use mostly due to bad seals I final pulled my old Crosman 760 out of the safe.   I decided maybe I would throw some upgrades at the old girl.     So as I tried to find custom parts for the 760 I kept finding articles about how the 1377 had a huge aftermarket.  Maybe the largest of all air guns.   Well me being a mall ninja I bought one:)

After receiving it I am finding it hard to buy parts?   Most of the shops listed in places are closed or have their websites shutdown.  Maybe its me or the economy really hit that nitch market.   At least the parts I want such as replacing all the plastic with metal...

Safety Brass or metal
Trigger Brass Or Metal
Sear spring plunger
breech (Other than Crosman's) BTW it's in stock I bought one for a 1322 project next.
Metal Barrel Band With Sight
Some nice wood by Micheal in Forida?

I can find FT Valve
Longer Barrel
Bolt

Don Cothran has a lot of stuff to offer.  http://www.cothranmachine.com/ (http://www.cothranmachine.com/)

Gmac also has some of the stuff you are looking for.  http://www.gmaccustomparts.com/epages/BT3197.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/BT3197/Categories (http://www.gmaccustomparts.com/epages/BT3197.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/BT3197/Categories)

There are others out there. You just have to keep searching to find it.  I'm planning on trying to make my own parts for most of my customization.  Good luck on your quest.

Gary,

Thanks so much!   I think I was confused....   I did not realize the parts I want interchange with the Crosman 2240.   I had looked at those sights and many others but most do not mention the 1377 just the 22XX.   I actually was going to post that I bought the wrong pistol:)   I am sure this has been asked a bunch of times but which parts are not interchangeable?

Mellon Air can source you a barrel and flat top valve and piston, possibly other goodies.
Crosmoda has some parts you may want to take a look there.
I have a Hawke Red Dot I am going to part with soon.

I just made a brass safety from a brass screw last week. All you need is a drill press and some files. If I can do it, most anyone can, too.
