Title: PELLET SIZER .22
Post by: mcc1961 on November 17, 2012, 07:31:19 AM
I just got this pellet sizer today,it is 5.53 mm.Here are some pics of it and a test target also. The
groups circled in red are the sized pellets and the blue ones are unsized. There are 5 shots in every group, and I alternated shots from 2 different tins.Do you think it helps.

Too little data to make a call on this. I do not see a significant improvement. Try several different pellets with and without using the sizer and create a larger database.

From a Pyramid Air Report:  "All target airguns and most high-quality adult airguns have choked muzzles that squeeze the pellet by one-half of a thousandth of an inch at the muzzle. That automatically sizes all the pellets and negates any other sizing efforts."

The whole article:  http://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2005/05/is-pellet-sizing-waste-of-time-maybe.html (http://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2005/05/is-pellet-sizing-waste-of-time-maybe.html)

Are Crosman barrels choked?  ???  And more importantly: If they are choked, do they respond to the Hindlick Maneuver?  :D ;D ;D ;D
