What's the longest time you've spent assembling a project gun?
« on: January 19, 2018, 10:52:57 PM »
From the time you got the first part for the build to the time you considered it completed...

"Yep, I've had this grip frame ready to go, I just need to get my lower tube, long breech, barrel, sights, bolt, and trigger assembly! Maybe next month..."

I'm pretty sure back when I played paintball, I had some components for guns that I never even ended up owning.

Started the design of this one in March 2015, “finished” it in January 2016. Designed to be a 10m freehand rifle for me and my kids. 3 pumps yields 465fps.

1377 based design, with a PM66 compression tube & linkage, flat top piston, reduced volume FT valve, LW 19” barrel, hammer preload adjustment, 1701P trigger, steel breech, etc.

The LW66:

Currently gathering parts for a 7/8” tube multipump, similar to above, but trying for + 12fpe (poor man’s field target gun).

About three years to get the .30 up and running...course I changed jobs, set up at home and also ended up starting completely over with it too...

Done now though.  :)
