What is the difference between a 2300KT and a 2400KT?

Gas tube length, and forearm, and hanger-type barrel band and tab on the front grip screw for the forearm.

The tube on the 2300KT is 2240 length and the tube on the 2400KT is 2250 length.   The gas cap is of course longer the make up the tube length difference.

OK

I can't see the difference.

I forgot, 2400KT has the long steel breech standard, 2300 has the short steel breech standard but can be built with the long steel breech for a few dollars more.

The difference in the gas tube lengths is 1.6 inches.   That makes no performance difference in stock or with typical internal mods.   It does make room for the little forearm.   And it is possible to make a middle of the valve extension of 1.6 inches which adds considerable volume.   With this performance mod use the 2240/2300 length end cap and everything fits.

I think my computer is getting flaky - double post here.   Weird stuff on another blog.   Mailer agent went away yesterday.

Or maybe I'm getting flaky.    :)

Does the 2300 not have a spacer in the valve to get more shots ?

The 2300S & 2300T for sure have a "spacer" in the valve to reduce the volume in the valve so you can get more, although lower power, shots from a co2 cart.
I don't know if the CCS guns have the spacer or not.  No diagram for them & I have never looked at a new CCS valve.

IIRC, I asked Crosman before ordering a 2400KT, if the 2300KT had the spacer and was advised it did not.   But call them for confirmation.

While were at it what is the difference between a 2240 and a 2240KT?

arkmaker †

There is no 2240KT, but there is a 2400KT. If that is what you meant, then the differences are that the 2400KT has many more options to choose from than a 2240.

2240 comes with a plastic front and rear sites, 7.5" .22 barrrel, plastic breech, brass 1-pc bolt and longer tube as Craig mentioned.

2400KT has the same insides as the 2240 and can be ordered with a variety of options, such as barrel cal and lenght, steel breech, muzzle brake, camo or cf look stocks, scope/dot, trigger shoe, engraving, etc....

Really worth going up on the Crosman website and checking it out. I wish I had not waited as long as I did, but in this case it was worth the wait. It is a very good option to get a neat little carbine for not a whole lot of money. Here is mine.
