When Crosman bought Benjiman/Sheridan...

...They got one HECK of a pistol.
I just came in from shooting my H9A.177. For a 30 year old pumper this thing is amazing!
I pulled it out of the bag after a long winter hibernation and dry fired it to see if it held the stored pump..."pop" goes the weasel!
6 pumps at 15 yards and it is spot on with iron sights!

The accuracy, ease of pumping, ergonomics, Power-FPS & ability to modify to each individuals desires makes the Crosmans 13/22xx & 17/22xx pistols better guns for shooting today.
The guns have been internally improved and exteraneled cheapened by the use of more plastic parts.
Older guns are harder to pump with very bad triggers.  Those problems have been corrected by todays guns.
Really the older guns have a great nostalgia value but if you want a good shooter get a newer gun.
Some may disagree & I understand but, that's why we are all are here,

I have a newer 1322. After about $300, it works great!  ;)

While I disagree with this...
QuoteOlder guns are harder to pump with very bad triggers.
I do agree there are more aftermarket "boutique" bits for the newer 13XX to make them better.
And plastic bits make for reduced production costs... not always an improvement.
Just take one trigger spring of a H9 past its forward detente (yes there is two)... and you have a fine pistol out of the box even better.
No filing or polishing of the linkage needed... no aftermarket Bling... and WOW.
Yes, I own both.  ;)
