I bought mine at Wally World for $18.00.
I shoot the outside targets instead of in a row.
I mounted the back feet in a block of wood for portability..
I made a video:

Kevin, thanks for the heads up!

I order two for giveaways.  I have an identical one bought years ago under a different name.  It has resided at 50 yards, rain or shine, many coats of white or yellow paint on the paddles, and has taken a brutal pounding but it is still working.

Great deal! Will give me a chance to see if will work on 7.9 grain .177 at about 550 - 650 fps from 10 - 15 yards.

I've had one for several years now - be sure, if it stays outside, to oil the pivots every now and then - it'll rust there where it wears. I repaint both sides of the targets with fluorescent paint from time to time - the stickers have a tendency to fall off after a while. I've actually dished the targets with the PCP guns over time, but it's still my favorite reactive target.  :)

The two I ordered were delivered today.  First impression?

WOW!

Thicker than a fast food hamburger patty!

I measured the Caldwell that I bought years ago and has 0.10" thick paddles, exactly half as thick.

Very nice.  I said I bought them for giveaways.  I lied.  One of them is staying with me!

Kevin, thanks again for posting it!

Just tried a couple of rifles to get a sense of what it takes to flip the heavy paddles.  The answer is about 10fpe on target.

12fpe in .177
Distance 30 yards, terminal energy approx 7.5fpe:  No
Distance 15 yards, terminal energy approx 9.5fpe:  No
Distance 10 yards, terminal energy approx 10.3fpe:  YES

21fpe in .22:
Distance 30 yards, terminal energy approx 13.6fpe: YES

Note in both cases I was using pellets with a poor BC (wadcutter and hollowpoint) so that's why the terminal energy was tailing off so quickly.

Great info.

I picked up one awhile ago with the steep discount, but have yet to shoot it. I made a wooden H-frame for mine to keep it steady.

I was thinking of making a box around mine to capture the spent pellets. Any info on where most of the lead ends up (backwards of sideway/down) would be helpful.  :-*

After just a few pellets, there were numerous bits of lead spatter embedded into the plywood panel on which the target was placed.  That has been my experience any time lead hits a largely perpendicular hard surface....it sprays little slivers out in a starburst pattern.

In my experience, the spent pellets go everywhere. It all depends on exactly where you hit the target - on the periphery, near the hanger, at the bottom - they ricochet in all directions since the paddle on mine (a Caldwell, probably the lighter weight version) twists as well as pivots. I collect most that miss the target and end up in the backstop!  ;D
