OK.. I haven't been on here in a while, but I am so excited about my most recent acquisition I just had to share here.

I went to a gun show and picked up a Daisy 881 LNIB with all the paper work and hang tags.
Shot it and hated it.
A member over on GTA loves the 88X platform and had a vintage Crosman pistol I have been bugging him to sell me for years... "Literally".

Well, he offered up a trade.. I bit. ;)
And went running away with a Crosman 105

She is far from original, and wouldn't pump up... I knew this going in, but for a $45 trade investment I was happy!
Look at that trigger group.. original an NO wear!

I purchased a reseal kit from Henry Ford and then another complete new pump head assembly because I could not get the original apart to replace the felt and cup that came with the kit. That was no fault on his kit, but more the age of this gun, so I now have spares.

I found it MUCH more ergonomically comfortable to pump if I did not put my index finger in the "hoop" but the last three from my "Middle Finger to Pinky".
The black and brass contrast matches my recent Crosman 101 from the same late '40's era project perfectly.

It shoots now, but rather weak (classical) so I currently have it back apart to re-adjust the Pump head to get a legitimate "Cam Over" on it... and "detail" it to remove the last remnants of black on the handle and pump tube, then comes the polish to try once again.   :)

Thanks Wayne... not bad for a 75 year old Gal is she.  :P
I bet after this re-freshening she'll last well past 80. :-\

thats a nice early one and i'm not a great fan of polishing the finish off the older ones(i do have quite a few that have had it done before i got them) but it looks well
