Hammer Spring ???

Anyone know where i can get a heavy hammer spring for the 22XXs ?

Pretty sure from Crosman you can get the Discovery hammer spring which is supposed to be Crosman's strongest spring.

Easiest way is to take the stock spring with you and go to a Ace hardware and check out their spring assortment.
You can get a stouter spring thats the same dia. and length.
Plus you might find several in different winds or number of coils so you can play with it some.

I ended up with one the same length, but much lighter in power, and thus rendered unusable with the P. Adjuster for my .22.  I noticed the set up with the Mellon P. A. on my 1740 needed to be screwed in some ways to get it to trip the hammer last evening.  Gonna have to set the chrony up and see what it's doing, but I'll likely have to hit the store and get a longer spring and see if that plays a part as well.  ???

im lucky enough to be able to get heavy spings locally but there is an internet source but you have to buy bulk ill did up the site and post it ,i have posted it in the past here.
closed mouths dont get fed
