just to say after appox. 4,000 rds over a 4 year period my crosman 1377 is still going strong, still accurate. I modified it by using stock crosman parts, I kept it simple &  cheap, always striving for accuracy over power. A  bsa rd30 is what I ended up using for optics, it works out to my 32' bird feeder range. I take out only starlings & crackels, both,  for their personal behavior, and their on the U.S. conservation hit list, everything else in my patio yard is safe. The 1389T as I now call it, does the job, I shoot crosman destroyers, they work for me and walmart has them. In the past I hunted rats at dumpsters at night, great fun, but spooky. What I have found out is .177 for feathers and .22 for fur. If anyone has any doubts about crosman products, don't. there's no magic in any gun or golf club, you have to put the time in to be any good, but its fun, and can serve a purpose.

Although we do like to believe there is magic and using 'pixie dust' on something can greatly improve the performance, it just ain't so.  As we have all found out the best thing for us is practice, practice, practice.

I've never wanted something so useless in my life.

Pirogue,

What mods did you do?  Link to a previous post, perhaps?

You're welcome Tom, Pirogue inspired me to make my 1377 "Bayou" converted to .22

Yep - I avidly read your posts on the Cajun.  There's been a trickle-down from that - it's the general direction I'm going with my 1377, and now that I have all the parts I ordered from Crosman...  :-*
