Nice find Woody, you saved some $$ and it's good to get one that is "unmolested", not all AG shooters are expert tinkerers and tuners. I also hear that the .25 barrels are much more consistent in quality than .22 and .177 M-rods, your good to go
Thanks guys... I think I must have been the first person to see the listing. It was only about 25 minutes old when I jumped on it.
I think the .25 barrels are made by mountain air (?)...and I've heard/seen really really good grouping and consistency with them.
I know what you mean..."not all AG shooters are expert tinkerers and tuners". It's funny, some people get into a hobby, or even just dip their toes into the water, and automatically think they fully understand every aspect of everything and dub themselves experts. Then they try to make some changes and screw up their guns. Does anyone remember the kid who bought a Marauder Pistol when they first came out, then painted the entire thing blue (without taking it apart, he just painted it!)...Then later he tried to sell it on a forum listing? Hahaha...he sure was an expert!
I almost bought a different .25 cal mrod the other day.. it had been worked on, HDD, Depinger, trigger work....but a grouping of 24 shots was about the size of my palm. At 40 yards, a 24 shot group should be the size of a quarter....so I didn't buy it.
