Crosman air pistol - General discussion / Another part obsoleted

No more 2250 or 2400 tubes from Crosman. They were recently obsoleted and inventories are zero. Sad day to think no more King Rattys. 760 valves are gone as well.  >:(

I use one of the springs in the Ace collection.  Do not recall which though.

Crosman air pistol - General discussion / 2240 Rebuild Help
Last post by flairgunner77 - September 10, 2024, 07:14:53 PM
I am rebuilding a 2240 using components from my parts bin. While I have the adjustable brass sear spring post, the spring has disappeared. I do not want to go to eBay and buy a whole new post and spring for $21 or a spring for around $8 so I would like to know if any members happen to know the Ace Hardware spring number that will work. I am a minor mechanical idiot so a specific spring description is best for me. I can bring the brass pieces to make sure the spring inside dimensions will fit the post, but length, number of coils and compression strength are missing from my understanding. Any help is appreciated.

Thanx - Dave B

Crosman air pistol - General discussion / Re: Question for Drdan

Drdan, many thanks for the reply. Sorry it took so long to acknowledge it.  I have a nice green dot reflex that will go on my 2300S. It was neat to see your latest pics as I have that exact wooden grip on a Crosman grip frame that was hiding in my parts box. I'm going to put a super sear in it and it eventually will also go on the 2300S unless it ends up on a 2240 project pistol that's in the works. I really love shooting these Crosman pistols so enjoy yours, it's a beauty.  Dave B

Quote from: Uslanja on June 24, 2024, 03:19:24 AMHi farrlarr,  thanks for the response!  I guess I could do that but my purpose for getting it was to turn it into a carbine.  But I am kind of anxious to put a few rounds down the tube.  It came with the steel breech but no iron sights.  It does have an 11mm dovetail.  I am an old school iron sight guy but the thought of coming on target quick with a red dot or scope might be fun. Would you just clamp on to that dovetail or add a rail?  I was also thinking about getting the 9 round GRAVmag so would most likely need to mount whatever sighting system a bit higher.  Any thoughts on the mag?  The idea of not loading single rounds has an appeal.
I got a 5 shot Grav Mag last year for my 2240 plastic breech. It works great. I will be buying another 9 shots GravMag for my steel breech

I ordered a new steel breech. But while I was surfing the net. I found some aluminum breech for 2240 on Amazon.
Have any of you used an aluminum one.
