Title: 1377 Gripframe ID and Grip P/N (Curved Foward Grip Area) ????? Photo Heavy
Post by: 0351_Vet on March 02, 2012, 05:57:50 PM
I started a new thread on this, because it's got be Buffalo'd.

I am trying to find / order a set of correct grips for this pistol and I can't seem to find any info.
(Almost like it was a production run between Phase I & Phase II)

The front of the grip frame is curved? I think it is Phase II from what I have seen?

Page 3 is what it looks like, but straight grips don't fit: http://www.crosman.com/pdf/manuals/crosman/1377/C1377-EVP-1&2.pdf (http://www.crosman.com/pdf/manuals/crosman/1377/C1377-EVP-1&2.pdf)

I have tried all the grips I have an none have a curve to the front leading edge. Any help wound be appreciated.  :-*   :-*   :-*

In Photos 2 & 3 you can see the curvature of the front frame rail as compared to Photos 4 & 6.

1377x - Pretty Wild Huh.... I know the the First on is a Medalist II, the second one is a Phase I, and the third I had assumed was a Phase II.
(And the fourth is my 1377 turned 1322, on going 1325 project. Maybe I'll get it finished one day, when I put my PCPs down  8) )

Your trigger frame has been tweaked by a previous owner.

I'm thinking, put it in a pinned jig, and pull on it with a bar clamp at an angle?
Thoughts.....?

Correct, I was just using them as an indicator of how much out of whack the lower frame is.  :-*

Purpose? He might have done it on purpose but I am betting he dropped it on the trigger frame and 'tweaked' the frame into its current shape and then didn't know what to do with it.  Maybe he just used the grips that were on it and didn't care.

Carl,

Is this grip frame still available from Crosman?
Is it worth straightening? Any suggestions on straightening?

Thanks, Walt

Please ask for me, and I am trying to keep original as possible.  Why, I don't know, but kind of like to keep old things that way.
I think I might be able to straighten it. Thanks again.

looks bent to me and no crosman won't have the 2nd variant grip frames .they might have a few phase 3s left but i wouldn't get my hopes up . small vendors/crosman authorized dealer/repair shops might have something .
