Title: Front Sight on 2300S
Post by: RetatCDude on February 18, 2019, 10:24:15 PM
I have the Williams rear sight on the 2300S.
I find the front blade is a bit narrow for this sight.
I was just about to order the front muzzle brake and sight (adjustable for width) for the 1701P when a thought struck.
Can I make the front sight on the 2300S larger?
I stripped some rubber from a piece of wire and with a metal probe, made the hole bigger.
I removed the front sight from the 2300S and while holding it with my vice-grips, twisted it into the rubber insulation.
I then trimmed the insulation and finished it off with a bit of sand paper and a touch of black firearm paint.
I inserted a new CO2 cartridge (I had it in my paints pocket during the above procedure to warm the cartridge up a bit (cold in Northern California)) and shot a quick 15 7.9CPL from 10-12 yards..
Mostly 8s but not too bad for a wobbly ol' man..
