Crosman air pistol - General discussion / Super Sear & The 2300S
Last post by RetatCDude - April 13, 2025, 12:34:54 AM
I have had a super sear for a while but never used it. In the 2300s I have the adjustable sear spring from Dave at Alchemy AirWerks. But the factory sear seems a little rough and is not too predictable. So today I put the super sear in the 2300S. With the adjustable spring at the lightest setting along with the super sear , the trigger pull is ZERO, NADA...
Too dangerous for elderly shooter.
I put two complete turns on the adjustable spring and now I think the trigger is right at one pound and is just as good or better than the one on my IZH46M.
I do not have a trigger pull gauge but I will ask around at the next 10M match..

Pellet Picture Database / Re: Crosman 1377

Hmmm... If your numbers are correct, you got slightly more energy (in fpe) with the lighter pellet.  Normally you'll get more energy (in spite of fewer fps) with the heavier pellet, not the lighter one.  Note however that the lighter pellet will lose its energy sooner, due to the slowing effect of wind resistance on the lower ballistic coefficient.

One of these days I'll get everything I have together again and get a proper count, I've lost count and keep forgetting to add to my spreadsheet... I'm sure there's around 150 but they're all over so hard to tell :)

I'm a moderator on other (unrelated) forums, and I hate it when people think they have to start a new topic just because the old one is old.  I say no; if it's about the same thing, please keep all the related stuff together and don't clutter the forum with more topics about the same thing, which results in all these scattered pieces that should be kept together.  Projects may go for years too; so it makes sense to continue the same topic for the same project.  When a new one is started unnecessarily, things that were in the old topic get repeated needlessly.  Also, if the old topic is continued and if email notifications are working, people who posted earlier in the topic will get a notification that there's a new reply.

Reviving "older" threads is at least a start at resuscitating the forum in general! RE: the OP's ?, my signature lists, I believe, 20. I may have a couple more  ;). I believe that the notice at the bottom of the thread (in RED) stating that the thread in more than 68? days old, keeps individuals from replying and suggests starting a new thread. Sometimes this may be the case but other times replying may be totally appropriate. Sadly, this forum has lost momentum. I'll admit, interests wax and wane. When, for whatever reason, my interest in air guns is piqued, I'll head to this site to see what's going on. When I see that new posts haven't been made for months, my interest quickly fades in posting to the forum.  :(.
RE: my collection, I still enjoy shooting, tinkering and even "fondling" my modded ones. 20 +/- may be my max but reaching any "max" shouldn't preclude participation in this great forum. Just sayin'  :)

Crosman air pistol - General discussion / Reading old posts.

I have been browsing and reading old threads. It is not getting my post count up, but it has been informative.

I am back to December of 2012. Some of you already seem like old friends.
