Title: Replacement 459MT Hex Screw
Post by: s2Kohio on December 16, 2019, 01:44:26 AM
Anyone know the size of the 459MT hex screw. I've got one that's almost stripped and I want to buy a few replacement screws.

Thx.

I don't recognize the description of the screw.  What - where is it used?

That is the Crosman Intermount which clamps onto the barrel.     I don not have one.    Don't think there is a manual for it a Crosman.

(Would not have the fastener spec anyhow)

OK, figured it out. The459MT intermount screw is an M3 15mm hex screw.
Went to hardware store and picked up a few. All they had was Phillips head, but it works well.

I followed another person's suggestion (found on amazon review) and cut a few small pieces of old binocular neck strap (cloth) and placed each piece under the foot of each side of the mount - against the lower solid barrel of my 1322 - and it's ROCK SOLID.  No movement or 'rocking' side to side. So, for $7.88 (Amazon) for the 459MT intermount and, if I buy a UTG Leapers MNT-PMTOWL-A Inc, Dovetail to Picatinny Adaptor Mount...$7.39 (Amazon) I'll have a rock solid picatinny mount if I don't want to use dovetail mount only.

Now to do the same thing on my 1377.
