This is listed at my local auction house, it looks in very rough condition and bidding is at £45 so far. My question is this: I don't know what it's worth so should I have a bid on it?
worth bidding on Dee 1st variant 1389 with the rounded breech
it's one i've been looking for but it is in a pretty poor cond
Cheers Ped, I'll see if I can nick it on the day, if I can get it for next bid (£50) that would be almost £65 once 29.94% fees and vat has been added
Forgot to mention they've listed it as a Crosman air rifle model 1399 , they obviously ID'd it using the details on the stock :)
Another Crosman in the same auction is this:
That was a short lived model that looks silly but has a 3/4" instead of 5/8" bore for the pump piston, same stroke as a 13XX but builds up faster.
It does look silly, more so in that colour ;) thanks for the info :-*

The hammer price for this was £80 with fees, tax etc added it amounted to nearer £105. As I had not had the chance, due to Covid 19 restrictions, to view it and considering the overall rough looking condition I decided not to bother with another bid.
even at that price it would've been worth it just Dee
