It was new to me about 7 years ago.
I do not know how many 10s of thousands of pellets were fired through it but...
It started blowing air out of the barrel.
I ordered a rebuild kit from eBay and a new valve spring from Crosman.
No good.
It worked a little while then back to blowing air again.
So this past Friday (13th) I ordered a replacement valve from David (Alchemy AirWerks)
It came today (16th).
Installed.
The pistol fires perfectly.
If any of you ever need parts or bling for your Crosmans don't hesitate to buy from David..
I have a shopping list for ALCHEMY AIRWERKS that I may modify if the Russian made match trigger assembly and frame fits my 2300S with no modifications needed. Without the Russian match trigger group this is what I'll order:
1. Solid brass safety for Crosman $23.18 (as seen on e-Bay)
2. Super complete tune-up rebuild reseal kit for 2300 $21.28 (as seen on e-Bay)
3. Stainless steel hammer pin $12.00
4. Stainless Steel Roller / Low Friction Trigger $46.00
5. Brass CO2 end cap $20.00
6. Brass tube end cap $15.00
7. Brass breech end cap $14.00
8. Two brass screws for Crosman grips (see on e-Bay) $5.57
9. Stainless steel .177 extended probe $21.00
Once I'm back from my Christmas vacation I will start ordering everything and get my project underway... :-*

About the same prices as Mellon, but more bling.
A little bling is allowed with customizations... 8)
Oh, for sure. :)
