Hi everyone,

My 2300S project is taking a bit more time than anticipated.  I sent a lot of upgraded parts from Alchemy, Don Cothran's shop, and others to Holland for the build.

A billet aluminum trigger guard ordered from e-bay had lots of unsightly machining marks, so Teun Meen of Metura Sports sent it out for sand blasting, and the result was really nice, so much so that I won't be having it black anodized.  It will look nice with all of the stainless accessories... The pistol will hopefully be delvered sometime in May.

I am planning to give all of the spare parts away, and I will post something in the "For Sale" section of this forum once everything arrives in Germany.  The pistol itself will NOT be for sale.  :)

This is a list of the items that will be given away:

Williams FP notch rear sight
OEM aluminum muzzle brake with sight post
OEM plastic grips
Buck Rail solid plastic grips
OEM sear
OEM plastic trigger guard
OEM extended probe
OEM trigger
Don Cothran stainless steel bolt handle
OEM safety
OEM long steel breech
OEM screws
OEM  CO2 tube power adjuster
OEM CO2 piercing end cap
OEM breech end cap
OEM barrel band
OEM hammer
Blued steel 1/2" UNF muzzle brake adapter for threaded 7/16" (11mm) barrel

If anyone has an idea as to how to find a worthy recpient of these spares please chime in.  Perhaps it would be someone currently planning or working on a 2300T or 2300S build, or someone owning one of these guns and needing some spares...

As soon as the pistol is delivered, I will post photos and a list of all the mods.

Buck Rail makes some nice products. I recently received his 1/2-20 moderator like yours which mates up nicely with a threaded  aluminum barrel band which I purchased on ebay from Han Chen in Germany.
they're not hardened and not great quality steel tbh but what is these days

Geeze, I did a light review of the manual when I took the air gun out of the box and just kept plinking. I'll give it a drop of oil.

Wish I was at the coast. I made a Southern California turn around to pick up a few items my brother's widow wanted out of the garage. One item is a Sheridan "Blue Streak" 5 m/m air rifle. Haven't looked up what it is yet or if parts are available. The rifle looks like it was in deferred maintenance.

A couple drops of oil on the piston cup might help, it's probably breaking in, some people get fancy on oil I just use air tool oil...

It's a small world, you must have been heading to the coast :)

I just passed through your town yesterday. HA! I'll take a look at my breech screw hole. I am gentle when loading a pellet to ensure I don't warp the skirt of the pellet with the pin on the bolt.

I have noticed too that I'm getting less velocity with four pumps now that I've used a half a can of pellets. The pellets aren't imbedding into the plywood as often and the gun isn't shooting high on the lowest rear sight setting any more.

I think FT pistols are limited to 12x mag scopes, and most of them use rifle scopes, not pistol scopes.

The Hawke Panorama 4-12x50 AO is said to be very good but it is now defunct.

Are you tweaking your 1701P for more power and charge, i.e., transfer port change and air tube replacement?

Looks like it has 11mm dovetail on the top which leaves things pretty wide open, assuming you are leaving it as a pistol find a reasonable looking pistol scope and go for it, should be many options on Amazon or Pyramid air or whatnot, I don't have any pistol scopes so I can't recommend anything directly...
