Title: 1377 Sniper
Post by: crazyhorse on February 17, 2011, 04:29:24 AM
I'm new and this is my first post.I read with much interest the recent testing accomplished with different length barrels using a stock 1377 with steel breech. that test helped me decide on the '1377 Sniper' below.

It arrived today from crosmods so cleaned barrel and fit my Barska 6-24x42 mil dot and sighted it in at 25 yards.Because it's been raining off/on,I only shot one group. But I did get a shot string in on my chrono.I really like this airgun 'carbine' and is just what I needed .I went with the carbon fiber shroud and it is pretty quiet without baffles as is.The barrel is 20". The trigger is really great,..2 stage adjustible.Ris ser breech was machined from 6061 aluminum...shroud is 1.5" dia carbon fiber. barrel ends at end cap.I thought that feature was a novel idea by the builder.

Sight n Clean is really neat...has compartment between supports, plus you can put supports in the compartment...I added rope handles to carry with rifle for FT..

My old hunting socks are filled with aquarium gravel I got a Walmart...works out pretty good..not to firm or soft..cheap too.

CRAZYHORSE--that IS a far-out looking air pistol....as wild as any I've ever seen :-* :-* :-*  As was mentioned , when you want to post pix just to let others see your "toys" do remember to use the "GALLERY"....
  Now, my curiousity is killin' me---are there ANY 13xx/22xx parts left on that gun????? I see a lot of definitely quality aftermarket stuff, that's for certain :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

I see that one of the crosman parts that is left in this gun is the Pump tube n it's parts, and I assume the FT Piston and valve?

There is room for more power mods later...just not sure yet what I'll do...

I am impressed with the breech and shroud set up. I emailed him today about the wall thickness of the shroud and got a pretty fast response. But, it looks like I will need to either use epoxy or make my own with a thicker wall for screws for what I am thinking.
