Title: 1377 Barrel reconditioning cold bluing
Post by: Heavy26R on April 03, 2011, 04:39:43 AM
Any suggestions/experiences on barrel reconditioning?  I've had excellent results reconditioning poor bluing on powder barrels, specifically Keltek PF9 barrels.  They are cheaply produced and I've had good results cold bluing with the cold water/steel wool method.  Any experiences to share on rebluing 1377 barrels?  I have a 1322 barrel in poor shape.  It has a very rough grain and some steel wool polishing would do it some good.  Just wondering how well this type of steel accepts cold bluing.  Thanks!
