Title: what are your sold treasures doing now?
Post by: 1377x on January 04, 2022, 02:56:25 AM
have you ever wondered what became of the crosmans you sold?
i was thinking about the custom rigs i have sold over the years
where are they now?
are they still the way you sold them?
are they still operational?
if you saw any of them for sale would you buy them back?

Never sold any.    Too much time and money in them to sell.    :)

at one time i thought the same way, most of my creations held their value, so i didnt lose much if anything. it didnt hurt that i was getting oem parts dealer cost.

OK
if you have sold a treasure
which one do you miss the most?
I miss my oogie boogie build the most. it was/is a custom shop drop bottle build. Oogie Boogie started as a custom shop 2250 that was cut down and pinned for a hpa drop bottle adapter, followed by a modified disco valve. The bottle was modified run full power at 1100psi and over 100 shots per fill.
i guess i have 2 that i miss
the other was my 70fpe disco pistol. it was made before there was a prod. at 3300psi it would get 4 full power shots plus 2-3 follow up shots that would easily dispatch any critter making itself a nuisance
the good thing about disco and custom shop tubes is they can handle a 3300psi fill safely when the endcap and valve are pinned correctly.
