I recently acquired a 2300S which I enjoy very much.
I also have a 1720T and have had a 1701.
The triggers on those pistols have spoiled me.
Question can I order a 1720T trigger group and is it a direct installation on the 2300S?
If you mean the 1701p trigger, yes you can buy direct from Crosman. PN is 2230-103

Whole lot of reading here. When finished you should be good to go.
So I will have to modify my hammer on the 2300S to use the 1701/1720 trigger frame?
I don't need it that bad.
Thanks..
It's a pretty easy modification. I used JB Weld to fill the groove, as do most others. Sand it smooth. Good to go.
Well worth the effort IMHO.
Also, you might have to extend the sear slot in the compression tube or file the top of the sear down a bit, but this might be a 1377 thing, not applicable to the 22 series guns.

Or you could get a hammer from Chas. Mellon.

You would need the one "with notch" and he is about 3 weeks or so out for delivery. That would give you plenty of time to do a JB Weld hammer nod.
As JMJ mentioned, it is really not that much of a hassle changing grip frames on a 2240 & is well worth the effort. IMHO
Nah.
Leaving it as it is helps with my technique.
Using the 1720t and the IZH46m with those fine triggers, I find my technique gets a little sloppy.
That is why I keep my Diana52 with its T01 trigger around.
If I can shoot it, I can shoot anything.
Stay safe!
