Title: !322 and 2240 safety
Post by: Jimbo on November 24, 2020, 02:17:51 AM
I've been messing with the sear spring on these two guns and when I get it so the trigger pull is a little lighter I can't cock it unless the gun is on safety ( which is probably a good thing ), is this kind of normal?

It is not normal. You have the spring much to light,
it can cause a accidental discharge. Even if it passes the " bump " test.
you are borderline ...

The Magnum Air Power light trigger spring is good, actually, I have 2.

You can opt for a light spring and shim the bottom with a washer or 2 if it is loo light, rather than elongate it, which is palliative, as it would revert to its original length after a while.

The washer(s) can be installed via the trigger frame's peg.

You might need to sand them a bit (the sides), so they don't hit the grips.

Most often, a single thin washer works wonders.

Ace Hardware happens to carry countless fasteners and other "thingies."
