They are beautifully finished and very nicely shaped. I thought I would prefer a gloss finish, but am now sold on the matte oil finish. I trust that they will fit very nicely. All I need now is a pistol to attach them to.

I had the grips made in Zebra wood (Zebrano). I was going to get the best quality walnut or even Thuya burl, but my efforts were an exercise in futility. The Zebra wood is very attractive; it will look nice with the black nitride on the CO2 tube, the flat black powder coat on the grip frame, the stainless breech, and the stainless caps and barrel band.

Teun Meen in Holland is nearing completion of my 2300S, and once it is sent to me here in Germany, I will take photos, and list all the upgrades that were made.

I see. Ok, you say that your breeches have less gap on the sides then? Or none at all? I'm curious, please cold you take a photo of your 13xx Crosmans with steel breech from the rear?

I mean, if it works it's good. The Crosmans are quite basic air guns, there's no real need for higher precision. Only, I'm used to powder-guns where even older stuff is dependant on a tight fit. There there's alot of power involved so you need a solid, well made peice. Though I should perhaps not compare the two categories, twas only an observation.

Thanks Craig. I've ordered lots of upgraded parts and oftentimes all the compatible models are listed. When thet are not I usually ask. From now on when I see "compatible with 22XX I'll know that this includes 23XX as well.

Is this a so called "drop in" part, or are some modifications needed on my pistol?

The 2300 pistols are part of the 22xx family. Anything fitting 22xx guns will fit 2300 pistols. The gun in the image has had the gas tube drilled on its sides for the stock.
