Here we go, dont know if im in the right place, this is my first mod. :)
:) it's a start ... :-*
Good feeling grips! Congrats :-*
Yep...That's how it starts. Just a matter of time now. Think about your end goal...Target gun, plinker, hunting, accuracy, power, etc. Check out the posts on the subjects and go from there :-* Oh yea...Might need a second job$$$$$$$$$$$$ ;D
Ohhh dear, another one bites the dust ;D ;D
Nice choice of grips too :-*
Doesn't get away from the fact that you are now doomed to a life of Crosmans ;D ;D
I am a firm believer that grip upgrades are near the top of my mod list.

Same here Larry, Grips and Breech first. Then I change my mind every 15 minutes and swap them all around my collection till I get fed up.

I notice the mods on here are very sympathetic to your upcoming addiction ;D
My second mod ( cos the photos , 3 of ) did not appear, sorry guys its all new to me :(
And the 3 of 3 photo, looks like I need help with posting photos
You just have to click the (MORE ATTACHMENTS) part under the the part where you attach the first photo, then it lets you put in another picture in a new box. You can load 3 pictures per post... that doesn't limit you to 3 pictures per thread, just to how many you can attach to each post.
Next you need a shroud/ldc!!
Thanks for the tech help, I will probably need a lot more ;D

We can help you with all things Crosman and anything Crosman that is related to spending money.
We are at your disposal.
Carl
nice mods!
using photobucket or just about any media storage site will let you post pics directly to your thread instead of using attachments
Nice start there, watch your wallet, they can magically make your money disappear. ;D ;D The nice thing about these pistols/carbines is that they can keep evolving, even after you think their done.
Dave
That is true money disappears faster than CO2 around here LOL :D ;D ;D ;D
And so I made a short video,
this is the plan.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ch2m2Z6h8OQ#]Crosman 2250B Co2 .22 Rifle
cant wait to see it finished
So I wasn't to much quite yet worried about you having your wallet in jeopardy, when I saw your first post with the grips ;) ;D
After getting down through it, and seeing the eventual video... your are SO into a new realm of life and my financial concerns have grown considerably!! lol ;) ;)
Nice stock... and start on your new carbine!! :-*
Good choices, and an excellent start on what will be a very nice bit of kit when you're done...or when the wallets empty...whichever comes first. :-*
Have fun with it. :)
Al
The video demonstrated clearly how the stock and adapter would mount on the gun. I like that you showed off the stock adapter as I have never seen one before. Good stuff!
Here you go guys stage 1 complete ;) . http://youtu.be/hFxk4bLefw0 (http://youtu.be/hFxk4bLefw0)
That's a couple of good videos you did. Enjoyed watching them.
Carl
Looks nice but the AR stock seems wobbly when you retract it..Best regards.
No worries on the wobble....if you are going to pretty much use it on one setting, just take a wood screw with a large head and screw it into the plastic in the top of the stock (there is a hole in the top piece the screw will go into, you just have to press down firmly and start screwing it in). I did it on the AR stock I had, and it eliminated 100% of the wobble.
The screw I used had a rounded top on the head, not a flat top. I used a rounded top screw because the head is much thicker than the flat ones. You'll need that extra thickness to hold the stock in place. Just make sure your screw head fits just a little big, so it is snug in the hole.
Makes the stock and gun all seem like it's one solid piece!
Plus, how often will you want to adjust it anyway?

You have a point Mr. W but it kind of defeats the purpose of having a retractable stock..I kind of pondered on this rig myself for the cool factor but dropped it because the Crosman stock works well for me already. Best regards.
You also bring up a very good point!
...For me though, I bought the AR stock for the looks, but mostly so I could use the p-rod grips. I don't find the crosman stock comfortable, since it squeezes my hands upwards from the bottom piece. I didn't need/want an adjustable stock, that's just how I bought it.
I bet you could drill a hole in the top of the stock at each setting, then glue a metal sleeve in each hole. It could be threaded or smooth, and you could use either a screw or a very small rod to drop in to secure.
I dunno but these retractable stocks seem to have imperfections I have 1 myself on my CZ and there is a bit of play..It's an Israeli Zahal Fab Def rig I have on mine.

Cool stock, very tactical and a really nice mod for a 2250B.. Hope Crosman will ever re-introduce this platform again.
Sniper, sniper !
I have a breech and barrel band on order, with some trigger and hammer tunes, they are next. :)
Cool mods 8)
Wow, so many , I got to get some of these. :)
Well guys I've fitted new trigger shims, trigger spring, trigger shoe, and new csk hex head screws. I've polished all the contact points on the trigger mech and there is no "drag" just a heavy pull which is disappointing. ???
I am considering " cutting down " the trigger spring but by how much? ;) Or should I remove more of the hammer -sear contact area . :-\ The breech and b/band are on order, so do I cut the spring or "run in " the work already done.
Life used to be so uncomplicated 8)
booogyman3,
If you take off too much material off of that area of the sear where it contacts the hammer, you will remove the surface hardening. If you polish it much, I would suggest disassembling it often to check the wear on the sear.
I have one that I sanded and polished until there were no stamping marks at all and when checked it out after a month of shooting, it had worn off to where I think it was becoming dangerous. It never did go off unexpectedly but I think that was only because I got it out of there in time. I think I could re-harden it but haven't tried it yet.
Cheers,
Thanks Jerry,
Its only fired 100 shots, so I guess another 500 shots will get it run in, then I can smoke the contact points and polish again. I`ve been looking at a trigger made by Don Cothran, it seems a good design , I may try to get one, but dont think they are available in the U.K.
sounds like you are in need of a 1701p grip frame/trigger group
some US members might ship to the UK
closed mouths don't get fed ;)
Its all available over here, but more expensive.

I guess after you add shipping the deal goes away
do they run you more than $64usd? or $42gbp
They go sale on ebay , usually from someone breaking a gun to sell as parts, when you try to import, custom always charge a fee which pushes the price up. I'm trying to get a CROOKED BARN valve but they sell for over double the U.S. price around £70 = $107.

That's not so bad. Here in the Philippines we pay almost triple.
Take a look guys, perhaps this will help my heavy trigger ;D http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330910896288?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330910896288?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619)

Buy that kit or you can buy 2 complete grip frame assemblies and still have a couple bucks left. ??? ??? ???
Next is a 2260 or maybe the QB78 chinese rifle, theres always another gun to buy ;D ;D ;D
both good rifles i suggest one of each

Good idea, two is always better than one :)
Hi guys, stage 1 mods complete, :) as follows : :) stock changed to Tippman 98, grip added, new hammer spring, new power adjuster combo stock adapter, new brass breech extended hollow probe, new sear spring, all trigger ,sear ,hammer, contact points polished, trigger shims, sear shims, new additional "O" ring fitted to valve-barrel transfer port, new trigger shoe, new allen screw kit fitted, new adjustable fore grip (paintball), new shroud with carbon fibre vinyl wrap, .... the scope is from my 30.06..... I`m looking at getting a RED DOT SIGHT, maybe Walther?. For the final finish I may use vinyl wrap I quite like the look. I intend to run in the gun and then perhaps a valve upgrade to CROOKED BARN , though I may just mod a standard valve to go with bulk fill. I have a short video to follow, please take a look and give me your comments and advice on valves and bulk fill. :-\
Here`s the video link, :) :) :) http://youtu.be/fsnOZvMheJI (http://youtu.be/fsnOZvMheJI) wadaya-think.

I like it EB very nice job. :-* :-* :-*
Well done mate... :-*
Your doing an awesome job ... :-*
:-*Thanks for the pat on the back guys, but I still have a way to go, I`m gonna try carbon fibre vinyl wrap in a really "BLING" colour, gold ,red, silver, for the barrel, then a duracoat paint in camo for the stock with clear spray to follow ;D and I think the rifle will look better with a smaller optic, maybe acog or red dot, as I say the rifle is for my grandson and he is nuts on CALL OF DUTY with all the different camo`s as he ranks up, :-[ Oh! I forgot to mention the muzzle brake and bipod, ??? well the list goes on, all because he says " GRAMPY YOUR THE BEST GRAMPY IN THE WORLD" 8) 8) 8)
Hi guys, I got hold of a spare ratcatcher valve today, so any advice on how to increase to power output? :)
Well I polished all the trigger and hammer contact points today, slapped on some MOLY, reassembled, and got the sweetest 3 pound trigger pull. Gonna punch some paper if I find time tomorrow, perhaps a video to :)

Cool on the new mods! I can hear it in your posts... it sounds like you are truly having fun here with working on and tweaking this gun! That makes me smile :) :)
I guess your right Brent, but I must say I`m under the strict supervision of my 10 year old grandson, he has a job list that reads like something out of CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS with all the "add on`s " as you "rank up" from camo to grips and optics and finaly a golden gun camo ( which I hope to achive with vinyl wrap ). It will be tricked out with a holographic sight and "flip up" scope, I`m trying to get hold of a M4 barrel shroud (from an airsoft gun ) to adapt as a forend grip rail, but no luck yet. :) :) :)
Great build :-*
Nice job on your 2250B one day i will try a stock like that style.
Mike
It`s ideal for a young shooter,or lady, as it has lots of adjustment, the only problem I have is finding a "cheek riser" at a reasonable price in the U.K. thanks Mike
Ok guys , need a big help here, where can I get a GRANT STACE roller trigger for the 2250b ?
From Grant Stace of course... :D ;D
Seriouly now, give Gary, aka "Droid" on this forum a PM or email, he's one of your UK mates and has had better success than most acquiring Stace parts.
On the rare occasions when Mr. Stace comes out in the sunlight, he seems to have quite a political bent as to whom he sells to or even communicates with, he won't ever see my $$ but, to each his own. :-*
Thanks for the heads-up, It wont hurt to try :)

That sucks sorry to hear that Gary. :(
Just to clarify this, I have no issue with Grant and have every respect for him but would rather leave it at that.
Well I have to ask, surely there are other competent machinist`s interested in custom replacement parts and assemblies for Crosman guns, are there only two eg; Grant Stace and Don Cothran who make a roller trigger, so is the design subject to copyright?

no, but some feel they own the design/concept and get real uptight if some one else uses it for their personal gain ,others not so much
I`m realy glad they did not feel the same on whoever invented toilet paper, oh! and zippers and buttons.
EB, very nice build, you did a great job. I hope your grandson appreciates it!

Thanks mrb, He is the envy of all his pals. But its not finished yet.
So my next effort was to reduce the trigger pull weight :-X . My first idea was to buy a spring with adjuster (£8). :) I was getting a 3 lbs pull which was without creep, for me ( with over 40 years of shooting) it was O.K but for a first rifle for a 10 yr old a no no . :-\ My next try was a .22lr case fitted inside the original sear spring which had 3 of the rings crimped together by a needle-nosed pliers, ( not one of my most elegant remedies, but well it works. K.I.S.S as my old grandad said ) :-* the case making contact with the lower edge of the sear, a generous slap of moly, and 1 lb 12 ozs average, as slick as a baby's buttocks. Next come the paper punching.
