An interesting idea, but I've no actual experience with the fellows product. Can't see how it wouldn't work.

How much?

Part looks fine. I don't know how useful it would be if you do not also consider the air flow throughout the entire system.

Thanks guys, they are £5.99
Was thinking might make more efficient get a few more FPS.  Was thinking for my 13xx but could try in 2300 to to see which is best.  I need a new port for 2300 anyway as slight dent in mine from 1st time I took apart  :-[ I learnt a lot from that  :D

That's blown it, he had a load for sale but now it's ended :(

LOL  I have been using RTV over poly that was bored out.  That appears to be more re-usable.  I should flatter* him.

*imitation is often considered the most sincere form of flattery.

Ha ha, good call  :D

So I found a lighter when walking my dog and decided to do the upper seal mod.

Result....with Geko is about 10fps slower and with H&N 1 FPS faster.....in other words no change and standard deviation is there.....oh well.

If these come up again I will buy one

What size port do yo have in the 2300 Baz, 2.8mm is standard, 3.2mm is 2250 one and 4.2mm is huge for a UK gun.

Standard I think, I was planning on putting the one from the 13xx into it as it looks same size.  Then the new one in the 13xx

I just hogged out the stock transfer port with a slightly worn Dremel 5/32 chainsaw sharpening bit to get it started, then hit it with a 5/32 drill bit and

then back to the Dremel to take it to .160

Arrived this morning, slight misshape to brass (Ver very minor) from being in Jiffy bag.  Fitted (instructions included) to 13xx.

Ran through crono......same within 3fps of original......... :-[

Mine you just measured original and with a ruler so some potential for being out, I make it 4mm internal anyway.

Will see what happens when I fit to 2300

Hi Baz,

I have unrestricted steel ports in both the ratcatcher and the new 2240.  They  have the thick seal on the valve side and also a very small oring on the barrel side. Speaking to Keith and Paul W. at  the club one day  and Paul was telling us if you loose the very small oring you can get them  out of a disposable lighter (any  pound shop, Be very careful busting open new lighters as they are under high pressure and they go  with a bang).  Might be worth a try.  I have a few spare ones here somewhere and will put them in my  bag for the next  time we meet up at LV.

regards

John

i think they'll work better with co2/hpa but to get full benefit you'll have to increase the port in the barrel to match and i personally wouldn't put one in a uk pistol
remember uk pistols have a 2.8mm tp to keep them under 6fpe

John thanks mate, already tried the little o ring (it's a little up the thread) I found a lighter the other day but it was half filled, I broke in a plastic bag because I was concerned about spray but wasn't expecting the Big Bang) :D

Ped it's not made any difference mate, the original was 4mm anyway and way under 6ftlbs probably as you say because it's air not CO2.  I'm going to leave it alone now I think (though might try 13xx TP in the 2300 just to see.
