Title: 2240 steel breech

Hi im thinking about buying a steel breech from Gmac for my 2240 but what i want to know is can i still attach the original open sights to the new breech as i like using open sights. :-*

If you are talking about the rear sight off the plastic breech then no its not a direct fit... you will have to do a lil dremel work on it to fit it to the steel breech...

gmac do a steel breech that allows the use of a std plastic rear sight

And you have to shorten the screw too I think. It interferes with the hammer spring otherwise.

screw for a std plastic breech is a 8-32x7/8 which is the size you'd use for the breech in the link
if you fit a std dovetail breech you need a 8-32x3/4 if your in the uk get a rebolt kit from gary lindop aka droid in the us i'd speak to davio
