Title: Tricked out stock gas cap
Post by: mr007s on September 08, 2011, 10:41:43 PM
I was messing around with my CO2 cap and this is what I ended up with. It has been bead blasted. I may clean it with some solvent and blue it in the future.

If there is any interest in this look I may offer that machining service to forum members for a small fee.

Ray did an awesome job on the machining of these caps. They look real good and fit perfectly.  :-* :-*
The one he made me will really improve the look of my 2240.  8)

No need Mike, I have the brass stock in 1" OD. The threaded end is profiled and finished on the CNC first then parted off. The finger profile is CNC milled last.

very cool, its got me thinking if you can do things like that how much harder would it be to do end and rear caps with stars and stripes flag or skull?
