im ready to do the same thing
Is this the part that goes on a 1399 stock and if it is how do you attach it?
^No, it's the pump arm. And thanks for finding out the #. I'm probably going to order one soon.
Mc, I think you're talking about the butt stock from a new 760 someone here cut down and fit over the 1399 stock as a cheek rest. (Asset Smith maybe?)
Beware![ ???
The Number that he gave me May Not be the right number for the New Style. As I have said in the OP that that number is the same number as a 1975 760. I will not know for sure till the Part gets here
Come on Part!!! Get here. Update!!! Part # 76SB-010

let us know when you get them!
Now today when I called I got a Woman that said my order was shipped on this last Monday!
I asked her to confirm the Part Number, and she said C760-010
I told her this was the old part number and that I ordered the New Black Synthetic model and that it should be C76SB-010
Then she said that I was correct the part is C76SB-010,But they have to enter the old number so the Computer would recognize it. She said don't worry its right. So OK! IDK this has been a trip ???
if your order shipped monday hopefully you will see your package friday or saturday
this will be interesting to see what you get!
Its Saturday and its here!! Cant wait to get it on,Does someone know what Size Punch to use to remove the Pins??? :-*

Hey, thought I'd tell y'all that I got my two 760 forearms today, and they were the old black 'squared-off' style ones! :D
They're marked on the invoice sheet as 76SB-010. I was hoping they would be as I don't actually like the new 760 forearms since they're difficult to work with and flimsy. So, even though I'm not a fan of the old clunkers, they probably function well. :)

they function great no pinched fingers.they can be reshaped, so they arent so boxy
On an unrelated note. ^Bucky Larson eh, now you've got me kinda wanting to watch it. ;D

you have to see it imo!
i dont want to say anything about it other than watch it and laugh
I just dont know about Crosman. My invoice says C760-010 which is a old box type...What came was a New Style Black. Now you get C76SB-010 that is the New Style and they sent a Boxy Black one. Gee! it makes me wonder if Im realy getting a Steel Breech now ???
i love this forearm. well worth it. i have bought 2 or 3 760s in the past couple months just for the parts :-*
you also get the butt stock when you just buy the gun. not to mention the springs, valve parts, barrel band, barrel ext. but most importantly THE BUTT STOCK ;)
its been asked before
how is the cool cheek riser held on?
The aluminum tube that we cannot see is bolted to the shoulder stock. What we don't know if how the cheek piece is attached to the aluminum tube.
Cheers,
ok ok i'll go for total disclosure. i'll post instructions on the original thread. :-X
I'd thought I'd chime in with my ordering experience.
A few weeks ago, I ordered what I thought to be the "new" rounded 760 forearm from Crosman. When it showed up I was disappointed to find the old block style forearm had been sent. I called Crosman to let them know they had sent me the wrong part. I was told that the part number I gave when ordering was for the old forearm. I asked what the correct part number was and was told they can not advise on part number for "liability reasons". Not very helpful, but no big deal.
Today, I called a spoke with a very polite woman about ordering a few other parts. While I had her on the phone, I figured I'd ask about the 760 forearm. She gave me the same line about not advising on part numbers, but went the extra mile and walked me through some of the online exploded parts view PDFs. Together, we determined that the part numbers for 760 forearms are as follows:
C760-010: The "new" style (rounded) black forearm
(http://www.crosman.com/img/products/full/760B.jpg)
C760P-010: The same but in pink.
76SB-010: The "old" style (block/squared) black forearm
(http://gunholsterpro.com/image/cache/CR764SB_1-500x500.jpg)
I hope this help people find the exact forearm that they are looking for.
Does anyone know the number for the new stock? I like the way that chopped stock looks on that 1389 stock.
Based on the Pumpmaster 760 Phase 3 EPV:
http://www.crosman.com/pdf/manuals/C760Clip-EVP%20&%20PL%203.pdf (http://www.crosman.com/pdf/manuals/C760Clip-EVP%20&%20PL%203.pdf)
I believe the part number for the "new" stock is C760-127.
