Title: Out of Stock at Crosman?
Post by: BDS on July 12, 2012, 03:59:49 PM
Was just on the Crosman site and... the 2400, 2300S, 2300T, 1700P and Benji HB22 pumper are all "out of stock"  :D

Now, this doesn't mean a whole lot if you just want a pistol, cause PA and others have e'm ready to go but, I think it says something about wait time for parts and/or Custom Shop guns?

My 2300 KT won't be ready for another 2 weeks, that will be 4+ weeks total from order date, longer than normal from what I have experienced with past CCS guns at 10 days to 2 weeks tops.

Yep there is a big wait like always for crosman parts, they must be doing very well but thats a good thing. I do know that the CCS guns get first dibbs on parts before they sell them to the general public.

I just got off the phone with Crosman and my pistol (2300KT) is still in the shop...waiting on backordered LPA mim rear sight. The sights are due in next Monday (16th) of July. I am at the top of the list if that means anything  ???

Those sights are made in Italy and I had a feeling they were waitin on e'm.

Maybe we both get 2300's in another week or so?  ??? :P

i saw a clip on crosmans ceo maybe someone posted it here
anywho, the guy being interviewed said they were not affected by the recession instead more people bought their guns as an alternative to shooting firearms.
not surprising imo

Ken D'Arcy, Crosman CEO.

Good article about the "economy" of buying airguns versus PBs. Obviously, he doesn't know u$ !  :D

That's funny...I just called Crosman today to order a 1701/P-rod frame.  She said all out of stock, but said technically they have em, but a lot of the parts inventory was being pulled back to do some huge builds, apparently to replenish all the out of stock guns that BDS noticed.

Have to wait a couple weeks...business must be booming.  Good for Crosman!

On a positive note, I heard from Don Cothran that my order from a month ago may ship next week!!

I believe business is good for them, being in the shooting sports. Now if they'll just listen to their buyers and make some of their guns with slightly better quality components. Wink wink, nudge nudge.

Linky to article?

Why would they change a business model that is obviously working?

i know their steel breeches are outsourced
you can tell by the maching marks and some have serial number some dont
i have 3 steel breeches and none of them are a like
probably many more of their parts come from different sources
thats why there is all kinds of different tolerances.it really shows in their p-rod grip frames some people dont have to mod their tubes or sears and others do
a guy on gta said he had to mod the tube of his 2240 so his sear could lock the hammer back, pretty much the same issue i had mounting the gripframe to my 1377/2289g.at first i was the only one with that issue then as more people start using it more and more people were having the same issue.now its happening with the 22xx guns ???

It appears the wait for LPA mim rear sights continues....

Just got off the phone with Crosman again today. The sights came in but did not pass quality control. I was so sad I forgot to ask how long the wait is going to be  :(

Thanks for the info (I think  >:( )

Let's hope it's a fixable issue that Crosman can manage in-house otherwise, I'm gonna go buy another gun while I wait  :D ;D

I'm going to call back and see if I can get my pistol shipped, keeping a back order on the rear sight.

Chongman: PM me if that works, I was going to do the same and run with a Red Dot until the MIM gets shipped, thanks !  :-*

When I ordered my LPA sight they had to wait a while for them to come in, and when they did they had no screws with them, so they had to wait a while longer to ship, It is a nice sight now that I finally have it though.
