Title: Looked at a C41 today
Post by: T191032 on October 03, 2012, 02:51:39 AM
Was out doing a little leg work for Mom (shopping) and was looking at the "P10" Phantom in the Sporting Goods department of Wal-Mart.  Then I headed down the street while in town to the local Co-Op.  They have some airgun stuff too, a mix of Gamo and Crosman products I believe.  Crosman 1322, C-21, C-31 and in the glass case, the pistol I asked to see C-41, that resembles the Walther P-38.  I had a Crosman Model 338 the previous version of the Walther, though I have to admit, it wasn't until I was on this board that I learned that it, and the Z-77, have one, were of the same action.  I wish I knew what happened to that 338, it was cool.

I've read the reviews on Pyramyd about the C-41, and it sounds pretty sound, has some minor shortcomings.  I have to admit, the feel of the C-41 was pretty good in the hand, though.  Price was $62.99, just a couple bucks short of what Pyramyd wants, and no shipping to get it here.  It was the only one they had though.

Not a bad gun almost all metal shoots hard and pretty accurate but keep it to 20 feet. Go for it you will like it.

Not sure I'm going to give the Wal-Mart.com another shot.  I recently ordered a Midland WR-120B http://www.walmart.com/ip/Midland-WR120B-Weather-Alert-Radio/16451519 (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Midland-WR120B-Weather-Alert-Radio/16451519) with the $4.00 extra Product Care Plan. Keep in mind, I researched this for some time, checked and it said "In Stock", so I ordered it. They cancelled the order about an hour later, saying it was "out of stock", credited me for it, except the Product Care Plan.  Had to go to the store to get that credit ???   Ironically, I happened to walk into two different stores and found them on the shelf in my area.  Oh, all together, I paid less in the store that what it is listed on the website $29.88.

Yeah, I know the local Co-Op isn't cheap, never has been on just about anything.  Along that same line, at least Pyramyd is an Airgunner's "superstore" source, though their prices are high on some things, fair on others.

That's a nice gun. The grips look like real wood.

I had one, but gave it to a friend.  Very similar trigger as the Colt Defender, same safety.  I suspect that they're made in the same factory. RC
