And thankfully I was able to get it out!

I was changing the probe in my 1377 and torqued a bit hard... and that was the end of it.

Guess I'll be calling Crosman tomorrow. I hope they have a few in stock. Maybe should get some spares.

Part number is 1322B027 and they are $1.50 apiece.  You can get a better deal on screws at McMaster-Carr but a different screw entirely that you will need to mod.

Incidentally the screw is a 4-48 x 1/4" long.

I think everyone on this forum has probably done that.

Don Cothran has really nice stainless steel screws that seem almost impossible to strip. Other guys sell entire sets that have stronger replacement screws for the whole gun...don't have anyone to give you though, maybe someone here will.

I already had the part # looked up. $1.50 isn't a bad price. Might as well get a few spares.

They should have them the next time you take your breech off rember the breech screw goes in first and out last seems like the big screw some times will move the breech and you have problems. Taking the big one out first gives you a better shot with the little one also when removing it squeeze the barrel and tube together hope this helps you out  :-*

I stripped the hex out on one yesterday, had to drill the head off. Luckily I had a couple spares.

Thanks for the replies. I am still a newb when working on these pistols, although I am learning a lot.

Almost all of us can truthfully say, "Been there, done that!"

And you would think that we have all learned, but it still happens once in a while.  :-[

Check on eBay for accustom breech screws got some the other day and much better than the Crosman ones.

Yep, I learned that one the hard way too...
Good advice from brz-ryder and I apply some clamping pressure too until the screw breaks free
also make sure you have a good 0.050 allen key it should fit real tight in the head
