 ???  Has anyone seen this on Crosman's web page!! Important Safety Notice: Crosman C21 & C31 air pistols have been recalled. Click here to see if your pistol is affected.  I know a lot you may have this gun so check it out!!

Can't hurt! I did the same as you did, but am able to delete it because I am a mod. This is a real safety issue as the plastic could explode with the Co2 pressure!
Bad mix of resin for that batch of shooters  :(

  Yes Sir, that what it sounds like to me too!  Airgun Depot had sme of them on their refurbished page and I was going to order one ,then I saw that recall! So I'm going to wait a while now.
