On Don Cothran's website stainless steel CO2 tubes are available, and a Google search found a now defunct link where stainless steel breeches and other nice upgrades were offered.  Here's the link:

Cothran's Stainless Steel Parts

On Don's website there is a parts request option that I filled out a couple of weeks ago, but didn't receive a response...  Is Don still making these breeches upon request and if so, do any forum members have one installed on their 22XX pistols?

This is a very nice upgrade, and as per the link they were available with either a right or left bold handle position, and either a front or rear screw.  Any more information and/or reviews of the Don's ss breech or CO2 tube would be appreciated. :-*

marflow

just got 3 roller triggers from him last month
i am not sure Don ships out of the country you would pay with Pay Pal
the other thing is his site was down for a long time and i think he was Sick or something else
the site is still incomplete to what it was before and as you have seen his products are as nice as anyone has ever made i have made a pistol out of his parts and many others that are not made any more

i would show it but unable to figure out how

Thanks marflow.  :)

Don Cothran's work is about the best I've ever seen, and if he's still making stainless steel upgrades, I'd like to get a stainless CO2 tube and a stainless breech.  Two weeks ago I ordered a stainless barrel band, and had it delivered to a relative in the U.S.A.

When writing a reply go down to where it says "click or drag files here to attach them."  We'd love to see some photos of your pistol.  :-*   Look at the image I'm attaching...  I circled in red where you need to click.  TBH I was a bit perplexed with the forum format refresh;  looking it over a couple of times, the solution was hiding in plain sight.  ;D

Beautiful pistol KevinP.  :-*

I just received an e-mail today from Don Cothran...  He asked me if the 2400 breech and the 2300 breech are the same.  I'm assuming they are; if someone has a definitive answer, please post it here.

Thank you.

Ok, since you used the words, "2300" and "2400", and did not use, 2300S and 2300T, I believe you are talking about the 2300K and 2400K Custom Shop guns.

Custom Shop 2400K has the long steel breech like the AS2250 and 2300S, part number AS2250-025.   And has the rearward located 4-48  machine screw.

Custom Shop 2300K has the short steel breech like the 2300T, part number 2300-047.   And has the rearward located 4-48 machine screw.

Neither of these are the breeches in the Steel Breeches Kits.

EDIT:

There was another steel breech - may not be available now.    The Discovery rifle had a breech like the AS2250 breech, but without the rear sight dovetail - part number 1761-019.

The Maximus rifles use the AS2250 breech.

This is a free online tool that can help.  Alternatively you can reduce the size with PAINT, which is very user friendly...   :-*

Hi CraigH, and thank you for your input.  Will the 2400 breech be a "drop in" piece for my 2300S?  I'm keeping my fingers crossed... Thanks again.  :)

Back in the day I built a 25 cal PCP with a crosman 2300 parts and other sourced parts for the build.
One of those quality parts was a DC SS breech. I sent it off to be jewelled with other SS goodies.
I would sell the breech because I am thinking to part it off as I have moved on and no longer shoot it.
Warning, it wont come cheap, see how many SS breaches have  you located that are foe sale.

2300S already has the 2400 (long) breech.

On 2300K is .177 and 2400K is .22  ---  when building a CCS 2300K or 2400K, either caliber may be selected.

Thanks CraigH.

I'll order a 2400 Regular (long) SS breech from Don.  It will look nice on the pistol.  :-*

UPDATE

My sister communicated with Don, and ordered a 3/8" stainless steel barrel band and a stainless steel standard sized 2400 breech.  Don mentioned that he will probably retire at the end of the year, and my sister said that he was super friendly and helpful.

Apparently he has many parts that are not necessarily listed on his website as was the breeech that I ordered.  Various websites attest to the fact that his parts are very nicely machined and finished.  If anyone is presently modding a Crosman or contemplating doing so, give Don a call or use the online parts request form.  Some of his SS parts are not available on other websites, and the supply will dry out in the not too distant future...  :-*

His retirement will really be a loss.

I wonder if someone will buy the shop.
