I've been looking for a pistol scope, with an eye relief of standard pistol length, that has some sort of ballistic reticle in it. Like a mil-dot or BDC or ANYTHING ???

I've been looking for quite a while and never been able to find one without spending a fortune.

Does anyone know of something out there?

Yep ... seen most of these. The only one that MIGHT fit the bill is the Osprey, but on their web site there are no specifications. Hate to buy it and get burnt.  Thanks. I've been searching for about 2 years ... no luck yet.

Any particular reason you are wanting a pistol scope and not a small rifle scope?  Let us know.

I just found some reviews on this scope brand and none were good after you get past the first few BS ones
I would check this out, sure beats $300/$350 looks like a pretty decent scope.http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/Osprey-4x32-mm-Tactical-Reticle-Pistol-Scope.aspx?a=572806&kwtid=510120&pm2d=CSE-SPG-6-BECOME&utm_source=become&utm_medium=cs

The 2240 has no shoulder stock on it and I enjoy shooting it "like a pistol". I have a powder burner pistol that I hunt with but I don't have to worry about "drop" because the 222 doesn't drop that much ... like a pellet. 100-150 yard shots with the 222 are not bad to make as far as hold over. With a pellet, were talking about twice the drop at 50 yards than a 222 has at 250 yards.

I've tried standard rifle scopes on the airguns and I just can't handle shooting it like that.

This is what I mean about the Osprey scope. Check out the statements in bold.

  * Rugged aluminum alloy housing, with a matte black finish for long-lasting wear protection and field durability
    * P4 tactical reticle, with gradual brightness control to control glare
    * Multi-coated optics for excellent contrast
    * 4x power, perfect for short to medium-range shots
    * 32 mm objective size for excellent light-gathering
    * Waterproof-tested... submerged for 3 minutes
    * Fogproof-tested for 30 minutes, and purged prior to nitrogen injection for optimal performance
    * F.O.V. @ 100 yds. is 26'
    * 1/4" per click MOA adjustments
    * Eye relief: 25.5" @ 2x, 12.6" @ 7x
    * Measures 7.83" long. 3.66" mounting length
    * Weighs 12.5 ozs. Comes with caps, rings not included.

Now ... is it a variable power or a fixed power. I know the ad says 4x32 ... and it most likely is, but COME ON !!!

Also ... since when does the eye relief change THAT MUCH when changing power. My 2-6 on my 222 doesn't. Their web site really doesn't help either.

bdb12586, thanks for checking ... that's what I thought. Seems I ran across these a while back.

And the search continues ...

Have to agree with Eric, if you've got an open ended budget, go with Burris.  You will NOT be disappointed.  In fact I could some help you mount it and sight it in.  Better yet, send it to me and I will do it for free.  :D
