The steel breech I got from crosman has the dovetail. Other than the lpa mim, does any other sight fit that dovetail? The only options I've seen for a rear sight is the lpa, the williams notch, and the blue fork.

Great for pistols, but if you want a carbine, the only route is optics? I think my next 13XX project will be a carbine in .22 but would like options as far as iron sights. Just looking for ideas to kick around.....

I'll be watching this thread with interest because, so far, I have been disappointed with the open sight options I have found for the 13xx and 22xx (almost all I have found need a much taller front post than what comes with the guns).
I'm going to get to try a 2240 with a williams peep sight soon and I will be curious to see how well that one works.  If I like it, my LPA sight on my 1377 will be fposted to the classifieds in favor of a williams sight.

This is the only other rear sight I have found specifically made for the crosman pistols

Another option would be a brass breech that takes the factory rear sight of which you can flip the blade notch down so you'll have a cheap peep sight  :)

That looks funny! Almost like somebody tried to attach a muzzle brake, but aimed too high.....

My mountain air 2240 has a set up like that. Roy machined the back of the breech and used OEM rear sight.

Here is a link to a couple of solutions to raise the front sight blade about 3/32"
so you can use Williams WGRS peep or Williams notch sight.

I did this on my '09 1377, using the method described by Walter r on the linked post.
It has held up for over 2500 shots so far....
This is not the 1377 I am doing the 'poormans mods' on.
