yesterday i sold a set of grips to my mentor that taught me airgun repair well alot of it , any how Crosman has changed ther frame hadel design  so the regular cut 2240 grip will no longer fit. . they lowered and off set the angle by almost 1 MM and the releif cut now has a odd shape trigle cut that now has to be made,, any one having this new fram will be ok when getting grips form us we are going to design a new universial grip model format for the 2240's for the inside cuts and pin balancers, just wanted to let you guys know that there is a new handel design incase you have a oldermodel handel you will now recive the new stlyle setup so you can use the grips on any 2240 ,, we still do not know if the new all black 1377 has been done this way or the brown model 1377s as they are making both from what i understand so far ..

so for thoes others on this forum that make 22xx grips you need to get your hands on the new 2240 frame handel and re work your grips as most customers wont have a clue what your talking about and it will make life eaiser when selling grips..and defentaly piss off alot less people thats for sure,

makes me wounder why crosman would change this model format i dont see any benifit to it other then i now i have more work to do now.. lol lol

I'm a clueless wood whittler. Do you have a picture of the new frame for comparison? I'm not a business - just interested.  :)

Thanks Eric, so it's the old new frame!  ;D

I haven't made many grips or for very long. Good to know I'm going the right way.  ;)

Just FYI

I was able to take a pair of RB Grips and cut out a little bit off the mating surface in order to fit the new style frame. Was pretty easy annd took me a total of 30 minutes using a coping saw, a freshly sharpened pocket knife and exacto knife. If anyone wants a picture of what I cut out, let me know and I will pop the grips and take one.
