Last month I was going through an old trunk and found a 1377(Phase II) that had been there for about 15 years.  A friend of mine was going to toss it in the trash and I rescued it.  He had used it extensively when he was young and abandoned it for firearms and co2 guns.  It had been used mostly with steel bb's and the barrel was pretty slick.  Overall it was in pretty decent shape for the heavy use it had been through.  I liberally applied pellgun oil, fired it a few times and it seemed to work fine.  I then started looking around on the internet and found a high availability of parts and mod information, so I got hooked immediately.  I purchased a 1322 and was really surprised at the poor quality.  Instead of the nice solid pump arm pin with c-clip that the 1377 had, the 1322 had a poorly fitted roll pin and the pump handle arm is so sloppy that I am afraid I might bend it while pumping, and it squeaks like a wounded mouse.  So, I obtained a 14.5 inch barrel, shoulder stock and barrel band and started converting the 1322 to a carbine.  I also obtained two pump handles (I think from a 760) and changed out the originals.  The original pump handles are much too uncomfortable for me to use.  I used the stock .22 barrel from the 1322 and a plastic breech to convert the 1377 to .22.  I also slicked up the pump tube, replaced the seals and put some different parts on the valve.  I do not feel the need for a steel breech or optical sights.  I probably will be mostly shooting it inside the house with three pumps.  I'll post the results of the 1322 mod when I finish with it.

All 1377's (new and old) have the rolled pivot pin originally.

Post a picture of the solid pin.

Another one heading down the path of addiction.

+1 on the brass valves in the early phase 13xx's. Wish you could still get them.

Yes, the pistol has a solid pin with a c clip and very little play in the pump handle.  the blueing is pretty good, the barrel is a new .22.  I kept the brass valve and replaced some internal parts.

I do not feel the need for a safety.

I always need a safety, because while im waiting to take a shot my trigger finger always has ADD and twitches and bounces on the trigger and i always pull on it while im walking around or waiting for the shot to line up. Im stupid, i know. I cant tell you how many times ive fired shots straight into the ground because of it. Always surprises me too.......but at Least i am insanely careful about where i have the muzzle pointed.
