HW 45 in Black Star trim... landing scheduled for tomorrow.  :-*... Been waiting a year for this score

Congrats and good for you. :-*

Where did you find a HW 45 in stock?

WyoMan

Airguns of Arizona has the HW 45 - but the Black Star was a special order. To be honest, I had given up about 6 months ago but they didn't forget me  :-*
It just arrived... adjusted the lawyer trigger setting... now it's a short, crisp, and light break off the second stage... going to cancel all the scheduled activities for the day and just shoot it  ;D

What a nice looking pistol.  Are you just going to shoot it?  Or do you have "plans" for it?

Didn't have any plans, but now that you mention it, hmmm.... uh-oh  :D

Well the first hundred (or so) shots were an adventure... lots of smoke, detonation, barrel fouling and spiraling pellets.
It's starting to settle down - group size went from don't-let-anyone-in-the-same-room-while-you're-shooting, to somewhat airy looking 1" to 2". The OM says it may need several hundred shots to break-in. I can believe that.

Recoil is noticeable but not the horror stories I've heard. The extra weight (nose heavy) scope may help? It's getting close to chrony time.
Thanks again guys!!  :-*
